Trouble with Canon Camcorder ZR100?

All I can find as far as technical advice is that there may be condensation detected, or sand/grit. Are there any other options? I’ve tried more than one tape.
Every time I attempt to insert a tape into the camcorder, it starts to beep and gives me a ‘remove cassette’ warning and ejects the tape. What’s wrong?

its possible that you may need to clean the head. every once and a while dust gets inside and a lot of times when that happens it won’t allow u to put in a new tape. i would go to somewhere like best buy or radio and pick up a mini dv head cleaner for like 20 bucks.
